Radio Broadcasting

Times Radio - a joint venture between the Times, the Sunday Times and Wireless Group - launched on June 29, 2020 as a national digital news radio station broadcasting on DAB, online and via app and smart speakers.

I am a producer/reader of weekend and evening news bulletins, I host 'The best of Times Radio' between 1am and 5am, and I provide the sport news for the 'Times Radio Breakfast' show.

I am also a scriptwriter, producer and broadcaster of news bulletins for talkRADIO, talkSPORT and Virgin Radio; with the capability of providing bulletins of studio-quality sound from home.

Despite working remotely throughout the coronavirus lockdown, I was consistently able to react very quickly to the ever-changing situation while thinking creatively about the bulletins I produced.

The Head of talkSPORT Lee Clayton said the station's responsibilities to its listeners during the pandemic were to “continue to inform and entertain, but also to give them some escape”.

Covering sport without sport, the station - named network of the year at the Sports Journalism Awards in 2020 - had to adapt quickly as it continued to broadcast around the clock.

One of my roles was reporting for the Sunday Exclusive with Mark Saggers.

I provided the hourly news bulletins for The Graham Norton Radio Show, as the man himself made his Virgin Radio UK debut on the weekend of 9-10 January,  2021.
